Role Overview
We are thrilled to introduce this 12‑month First Nations Traineeship within Client Services, supporting the day‑to‑day running of CommBank’s workplaces in Sydney.
Client Services looks after how our offices operate, including welcoming people into our buildings, supporting meetings and events, and delivering food and beverage services.. This role combines concierge‑style hospitality, customer service and administration in a professional corporate environment.
The traineeship is designed as a career entry point, supporting First Nations participants to build transferable skills that are valued across the Bank and provide a strong foundation for future career pathways aligned to individual strengths and interests.
What You’ll Be Doing
As part of the Client Services team, you’ll gain hands‑on experience across a range of workplace services, including:
Hospitality Services
Supporting food and beverage services across CommBank workplaces, including internal cafés
Assisting with catering for meetings and internal events
Helping with service setup, presentation and clearing
Learning safe food handling and service standards
Concierge‑Style Customer Service
Welcoming staff and visitors into CommBank workplaces
Supporting visitor access and reception services
Assisting with VIP and external guest arrivals in a professional and respectful way
Meeting Rooms & Workplace Support
Preparing meeting rooms and shared spaces
Setting up rooms, arranging catering and ensuring spaces are ready for use
Refreshing rooms between bookings
Administration, Reception & Operational Support
Completing basic administration tasks such as data entry, record keeping and coordination
Using internal systems and digital tools to support daily operations
Supporting scheduling and general workplace services activities
Growth and Development:
