About The Company
The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) regulates the securities and futures markets in Hong Kong. Its responsibilities are to ensure that the markets operate fairly and efficiently, promote orderly development of the industry while protecting the interests of investors. The SFC is a public body operating independent of the civil service. It is funded mainly by levies investors pay for securities and futures transactions and also by fees from licensees. Its core functions involve the licensing and supervision of intermediaries, ensuring compliance of laws specific to the industry, supervising the markets (including the infrastructure and trading activities), overseeing listing and takeovers matters and regulating investment products.
About the Role
Summer Internship Programme 2026

Students will be offered valuable insight into the day-to-day operation of the Securities and Futures Commission whilst gaining on-the-job practical experience during the 6-week internship period.

We welcome students from a wide range of backgrounds, including Local, Overseas, and those from Belt and Road Countries/ Territories.

Responsibilities:
 

Assist the various divisions/ departments of the SFC in their operations which may include:

  • Assisting in the daily tasks and projects as assigned.

  • Providing support through conducting basic research, compiling reports, filing of documents, updating of systems and other drafting work.

Requirements:
 

Undergraduate or postgraduate students*, majoring in Law, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, or Information Technology.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.

  • Possess a strong sense of responsibility and impeccable integrity.

  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

  • Proficient in PC applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

*Pre-university students may also be considered.
