We are actively seeking an undergraduate 2026 LG Summer Intern to join our LGEUS Legal Team.
Our Legal Internship is a 9-week program from June 1st through July 31st .
The internship will be based in the office (Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM) at the LG North America Innovation Campus (HQ) in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and pay an hourly rate of $25.00.
The LG Internship Program is built on the philosophy of ensuring that each intern is given the opportunity to perform robust and meaningful work while gaining real-world experience.
The program will also include each intern working on an individual strategic project for the department and delivering a presentation at the program’s end.
The main project for the Legal Intern is:
- To support and assist the Legal Team in implementing some strategic projects, including the incorporation of additional AI into our legal processes.
- To assist with updating some policies, procedures and other legal documents to be current in the law and with all the business changes (AI related)
Responsibilities
- To provide a variety of general corporate and commercial legal advice and support to the in-house legal team and their diverse clients
- research, analyze and draft legal documents, presentations and memos with appropriate supervision
- Support the attorneys in our Legal Department in various substantive areas across multiple business units
- Create and develop contract forms and/or sales and vendor contract policies depending on client assignments, with support and input of clients and other team members
- Attend meetings with our legal team and business persons, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and participate in other legal projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Enrollment in a an Accredited Law School (J.D. program) or graduate-level legal studies program, with minimum of 3.0 GPA
- Current 1L or 2L students preferred, with an interest in corporate, business, or employment law
- Familiarity with some legal research tools (such as LexusNexus and Westlaw) is a plus
- Basic skills in quantitative data analysis and be proficient in using Excel for creating charts and infographics
- Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, Google, Teams, and AI-based drawing tools is required for visualizing ideas
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for customer observation, the ability to extract meaningful insights, and strong communication skills are essential qualities
