Job Description:
Ryan Companies has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Interior Design Intern in our Minneapolis office! As an Interior Design Intern, you will engage with projects in the office, multi-family, healthcare, and industrial sectors. Architecture and Engineering are critical components of Ryan’s platform for delivering integrated and creative real estate solutions.
During the internship, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Work on various phases of project design from concept through construction administration.
As part of an integrated design-build company, department tours through active projects offer an in-depth look at how designs in the computer come together in the built environment.
Gain experience in collaborating and participating in all phases of the project from concept design through construction administration.
Assist the project team with finish selections, product research, documentation and presentation deliverables.
Maintain the interiors finish library.
Schedule appointments and meet with product representatives.
Job Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited program related to Interior Design/Architecture
- 18 months or less from your anticipated graduation date
- Basic knowledge of interior material products
Pursuing Professional education (Bachelor or Master’s degree programs) in Interior Design.
Submission of portfolio that demonstrates design process and solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with a diverse team.
Knowledge of various software programs including Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite preferred.
You will really stand out if you have:
- Desire to work in an integrated design-build firm
- Strong working knowledge of Revit, Sketch-up, and InDesign
- Experience with Bluebeam and Adobe Creative suite
Compensation:
The hourly rate is $20.00-25.00 per hour. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities.
