Lanteris Space Systems is seeking an Intern on our Data Analytics and Automation (DAAT) team. This role is based onsite in our Palo Alto, CA location. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in enterprise data analytics, working alongside experienced professionals on real business problems. You will learn industry-standard analytics tools, contribute to meaningful projects supporting Finance and Accounting operations, and develop technical skills that will launch your career in data analytics. This internship offers mentorship, practical experience with Alteryx and Tableau, and exposure to enterprise systems in a spacecraft manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Learning & Development:

  • Tool Training: Learn and apply Alteryx Designer and Tableau Desktop under the guidance of senior team members
  • Technical Skill Building: Develop proficiency in data preparation, workflow design, and data visualization best practices
  • Business Context: Gain understanding of Finance and Accounting data structures and reporting requirements
  • Professional Development: Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and knowledge-sharing sessions

Project Support:

  • Data Validation: Assist with data quality checks and validation activities, including SAP data migration verification tasks
  • Workflow Development: Build and test components of Alteryx workflows following established templates and standards
  • Dashboard Creation: Develop Tableau visualizations and dashboard elements under supervision
  • Documentation: Create clear documentation of workflows, processes, and analytical approaches

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Requirements Understanding: Shadow meetings with business stakeholders to observe requirements gathering processes
  • Solution Support: Contribute to analytics solutions that address real business needs
  • Communication Practice: Present work to team members and, with support, to business users

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident 

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related quantitative field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analytics Tools: Coursework, project experience, or exposure to Alteryx and/or Tableau (or willingness to learn quickly)
  • Data Skills: Familiarity with data manipulation, Excel, SQL, or similar tools
  • Systems: Basic understanding of databases and enterprise software concepts helpful but not required

The base pay for this position within California is: $28.00 - $31.00 hourly

The salary range listed is based on two years or more of completed studies.  This range will vary based on the number of years of experience and work location.
