Responsibilities/Qualifications

This role is onsite (not a remote internship) in Colorado and housing is not provided. As such, candidates local to the state or who list they have housing available in Colorado will be considered first.

 

Internship Details

Start Date: May 27th- August 14th, 2025 (12 week internship)

Location: 1601 Dry Creek Dr, Longmont, CO 80503

 

This position will support our Information Technology Infrastructure team. This team is responsible for system and server administration, virtualization, storage, backups and identity access management.

 

Each intern will focus on completing a project designed to provide hands on, career/major relevant project experience that will have an immediate and lasting impact on a real time business need. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to:

Essential Duties:

  • Lead a hands‑on lab inventory project, auditing and documenting existing hardware assets to ensure our technology inventory is accurate, organized, and up to date.
  • Assist with server and hardware setup and configuration, gaining exposure to physical and virtual infrastructure environments.
  • Support Microsoft 365 administration tasks, helping maintain and improve core productivity and collaboration platforms used across the organization.
  • Work alongside infrastructure engineers to learn foundational concepts in system administration, virtualization, storage, backups, and identity and access management.
  • Collaborate across multiple teams and disciplines, gaining insight into how infrastructure supports real‑time, mission‑critical business operations.
  • Document processes, configurations, and improvements, contributing to knowledge sharing and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Computer Science students with a major in Information Technology, Networking, Security or related fields
  • Basic knowledge of Linux, Microsoft 365, virtualization is helpful but not required
  • Experience with computer hardware
  • Programming
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication, collaboration, problem solving, critical thinking and adaptability skills.
  • Passion for learning and a strong interest in supporting Intrado’s mission
