About The Role 

The FP&A Intern will play a key role in supporting goop’s Finance team by helping to drive data-driven insights across the business. Sitting within the FP&A function, this role partners closely with cross-functional teams—including Wholesale, eCommerce, Marketing, Retail and Planning—to track performance, analyze trends, and inform strategic decision-making. The team is critical in helping goop operate efficiently and make intentional, informed choices that align with company goals. This role will report to the FP&A Manager.

Responsibilities include:

• Support weekly and monthly financial reporting, including maintaining the Sales Flash and tracking key business KPIs  
• Assist in preparing materials for quarterly reforecasts, annual budgeting, and Board-level reporting  
• Analyze performance across channels and products, including product-level profitability and customer metrics  
• Identify and investigate variances in financial performance, helping uncover key drivers and actionable insights 
• Contribute to process improvements, including SOP documentation and streamlining data workflows across the team 

Qualifications & Experience  

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a BS or MS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field 
• Strong curiosity and interest in working with data, with a desire to understand the “why” behind business performance  
• Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines  
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (comfortable with formulas, data organization, and basic analysis), with a willingness to learn new systems 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to dig into the details  
• Clear communicator with the ability to translate data into simple insights  
• Self-starter with a positive attitude who is eager to learn and take on new challenges  
• Interest in beauty, wellness, retail, or consumer brands is a plus 

FAQ  

• Compensation: $18.47 an hour. This temporary Assistant role will be full-time (40 hours/week) and run from June 1st – July 31st, 2026.
