Position Summary
The CAS internship offers hands-on experience in a collaborative environment, working alongside experienced professionals to support a variety of accounting and advisory functions for our diverse client base. The Intern has all work reviewed prior to distribution and works under the supervision of Managers, Senior Managers, or Shareholders.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Performs payroll functions for clients according to deadlines. This may include check processing, and quarterly payroll reports for various states and federal, for review. Compiles information for reporting purposes, journal entry and/or preparing correspondence.
- Performs accounting functions including cash management, AR, AP, transactional processing, month-end closing, and financial reporting.
- Completes data entry for monthly and quarterly accounting and financial statements for timely deadlines and review process.
- Helps coordinate the delivery of services with other CAS staff.
- Assists senior staff in various accounting projects.
- Performs other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned.
To Qualify:
Minimum Education: Enrolled in an Accounting program from an accredited university, or related field of study preferred.
Minimum Experience: Accounting experience and/or internship experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: None.
Other Qualifications: Actively seeks to improve knowledge and experience by increasing professional credentials/certifications in specialized areas. Excellent written and oral communication skills. The ability to work as a team member and under close supervision of other accounting staff. Must provide excellent and timely client/customer service at all times.
