About the Role

Snowflake is about empowering enterprises to achieve their full potential — and people too. With a culture that’s all in on impact, innovation, and collaboration, Snowflake is the sweet spot for building big, moving fast, and taking technology — and careers — to the next level.

There is only one Data Cloud. Snowflake’s founders started from scratch and designed a data platform built for the cloud that is effective, affordable, and accessible to all data users. But it didn’t stop there. They engineered Snowflake to power the Data Cloud, where thousands of organizations unlock the value of their data with near-unlimited scale, concurrency, and performance. This is our vision: a world with endless insights to tackle the challenges and opportunities of today and reveal the possibilities of tomorrow.

We’re looking for dedicated students who share our passion for ground-breaking technology and want to create a lasting future for you and Snowflake. As a Customer Marketing Intern at Snowflake, you’ll join a small, high-impact team responsible for activating and amplifying authentic customer stories that strengthen our brand, support revenue, and showcase the power of the AI Data Cloud. You’ll help build the “operational backbone” behind our global customer story engine, from qualifying advocates and organizing stories to supporting high-visibility campaigns, events, and executive programs, while learning how customer marketing operates as a strategic advisor across Sales, Product Marketing, PR, and Brand.

You’ll report into the Customer Marketing organization and work closely with teammates focused on industry, product, and program leadership, gaining exposure to how we prioritize, package, and scale customer proof across channels like case studies, videos, keynotes, billboards, executive councils, and AI-powered internal tools.

WHAT WE OFFER :

  • Paid, full-time internships in the heart of the software industry

  • Post-internship career opportunities (full-time and/or additional internships)

  • Exposure to a fast-paced, fun and inclusive culture

  • A chance to work with world-class experts on challenging projects

  • Opportunity to provide meaningful contributions to a real system used by customers

  • High level of access to supervisors (manager and mentor), detailed direction without micromanagement, feedback throughout your internship, and a final evaluation

WHAT WE EXPECT :

  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college/university program during the time of the internship

  • Desired Class Level: Rising junior or senior (or equivalent) with an expected graduation date in 2027 or 2028, or enrolled in a relevant graduate program during the internship period

  • Desired majors: Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism, Data/Business Analytics, or a related field with strong interest in B2B technology and storytelling

  • Required coursework: Foundational marketing, communications, or business courses and/or coursework that demonstrates comfort working with data (e.g., statistics, analytics, research methods)

  • Recommended coursework: B2B or digital marketing, content strategy, data visualization, marketing analytics, storytelling or narrative writing, product marketing, or customer experience

  • Bonus Experience:

    • Prior internship or project experience in marketing, communications, customer success, product marketing, or similar roles

    • Experience with collaboration and productivity tools (Google Workspace, Slack, project management tools) and an interest in AI tools for marketing workflows (e.g., Snowflake Cortex, ChatGPT, or similar)

  • Other required qualifications for this role:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear, concise writing style and attention to detail

    • Genuine curiosity about customers, how they use technology, and how to translate complex outcomes into simple, compelling stories

    • Comfort working with spreadsheets, basic reporting, and structured information (e.g., organizing customer data, tagging assets, updating trackers)

    • Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

    • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn from feedback and partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, PMM, PR, Brand, Operations)

    • Ability to commit to a full-time (40 hours/week) internship for the duration of the program

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN / GAIN :

  • How a modern, enterprise B2B customer marketing team operates as a strategic advisor, from intake and qualification through execution and measurement, and how customer proof influences pipeline, brand, and executive narratives

  • Hands-on experience building and supporting the “operational backbone” of customer marketing, including tools, processes, and data structures that turn a reactive request queue into a centralized, predictable “story machine”

  • Exposure to customer advocacy programs and high-impact content, case studies, videos, story slides, webinars, billboards, earnings mentions, and event storytelling, and how we prioritize quality over quantity for maximum impact

  • Direct experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Product Marketing, PR, Brand, Marketing Operations, Legal) to source customer champions, align on narratives, and “market the marketing” internally through enablement and executive comms

  • Practical skills in AI-powered marketing operations: using Snowflake CoCo and the AI Data Cloud to audit workflows, define requirements, and help prototype an internal “skill” that reduces manual work and improves how we discover, tag, and activate customer stories (the Internship AI Capstone)

  • A portfolio of tangible contributions (dashboards, process docs, internal enablement materials, customer story assets, or an AI prototype) that demonstrate your impact over the course of the internship

POSSIBLE TEAMS / WORK FOCUS AREAS : (if applicable)

During your internship, your work may span several of the following focus areas within Customer Marketing. Actual scope will be tailored based on business needs and your strengths:

  • Strategic Program Operations & AI

    • Build and refine the “operational backbone” that helps Customer Marketing move from reactive fulfillment to a centralized, predictable “Story Machine” (e.g., intake workflows, tagging frameworks, reference trackers, dashboards).

    • Support evaluation and documentation of tools and AI solutions that improve story intake, customer matching, approvals, and reporting (including Snowflake CoCo-based workflows).

  • Core Advocacy & High-Impact Content

    • Assist with identifying and qualifying high-value advocates aligned to Snowflake’s top priorities, industries, and product categories.

    • Help maintain and enrich story repositories and trackers so sales, marketing, and leadership can easily find the right proof for the right moment.

    • Support execution for select advocacy initiatives (e.g., customer discovery, event or earnings support, asset audits and refreshes).

  • Brand Campaigns & Visionary Storytelling

    • Learn how a single customer story is “threaded” across multiple channels, from keynotes and films to billboards and digital, to maximize Snowflake’s leadership in the AI Data Cloud.

    • Support research, coordination, and documentation that enable campaign execution across brand, product, and field marketing.

  • Corporate Communication & Internal Enablement

    • Help “market the marketing” by drafting or assembling internal updates, story roundups, and enablement materials that keep Sales, PMM, and Leadership informed on new customer proof and how to use it.

    • Contribute to self-serve resources (e.g., internal story overviews, slides, or FAQs) that make it easier for partners to discover and activate customer stories on their own.

  • Internship AI Capstone (Culminating Project)

    • Phase 1 - Observation & Analysis: Audit a targeted slice of Customer Marketing workflows to identify the most significant “extraction tax” or execution gap, the places where manual work slows down the story machine.

    • Phase 2 - Recommendation & BRD: Draft a short BRD and present findings plus a proposed AI solution to Customer Marketing leadership.

    • Phase 3 - The Build: Partner with your manager and stakeholders to use Snowflake CoCo to prototype a custom “skill” that meaningfully reduces friction for the team.
