About the Role

Carlisle Construction Materials is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated R&D Regulatory Intern to support sustainability and compliance initiatives within its Research & Innovation Center. This internship provides hands-on experience in regulatory reporting, data management, and cross-functional collaboration, with a focus on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements across multiple states and international markets.

The intern will play a key role in collecting, analyzing, and organizing data across diverse product lines to support accurate, timely regulatory reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in environmental compliance, sustainability, and data-driven decision-making within a manufacturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and navigate internal company systems to collect and compile data from multiple product lines and sources
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Logistics, IT, and R&D teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Support the preparation and submission of regulatory reports, including EPR filings, in accordance with deadlines and agency requirements
  • Develop and enhance processes and databases for efficient data storage, tracking, and future reporting needs
  • Participate in R&D and cross-functional meetings with production, suppliers, purchasing, and marketing teams
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve data integrity, reporting efficiency, and regulatory compliance workflows
  • Adhere to all Carlisle laboratory and company-wide safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a junior, senior, or graduate student at an accredited college or university
  • Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Studies, Environmental Economics, Business Sustainability, or a related field
  • Completed coursework in general chemistry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfortable working with data systems and software tools
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments

Additional Information

  • Internship duration: May 2026 – August 2026 (full-time required)
  • Location: CCM Research & Innovation Center – Carlisle, PA
  • Opportunity for local field visits to construction sites or production facilities, as applicable
  • Interns will deliver one or more formal presentations to technical and executive audiences at the conclusion of the program
