Job DetailsJob Location: PWSD HQ - Parker, CO 80134Position Type: InternshipSalary Range: $22.00 - $24.00 HourlyGeneral Statement of Duties This non exempt, non-benefited internship position provides entry level technical, analytical, and administrative support to the Technology Services Program Manager. The intern assists with evaluating and documenting enterprise technology systems, supporting implementation and governance activities, and helping maintain data accuracy within the District’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The role offers hands on experience with technology program management, asset management practices, and enterprise software lifecycle processes.   Supervision Received Works under the direct supervision of the Technology Services Program Manager.   Primary Duties and Responsibilities • Assist in coordinating with key personnel to collect information, document activities, and support the implementation of CMMS governance and asset management workflows. • Collaborate with various department staff to support CMMS/Asset Management initiatives, including but not limited to inventory management and asset tagging. • Help verify the accuracy and integrity of locations, assets, and parts data in the CMMS. • Assist with monitoring system updates, modules, and user feedback to identify opportunities for improved utilization of the CMMS. • Assist in documenting existing enterprise software processes and system lifecycles. • Help prepare materials for software implementation planning, training, and communication with various departments. • Assist in collecting data and generating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for enterprise systems. • Prepare draft reports and/or meeting notes for review by the Technology Services Program Manager. • Support interdepartmental communications and help maintain strong working partnerships with staff and external collaborators. • Assist with basic audits of existing systems or workflows and document recommendations as directed. • Help administer programs and activities that support the mission, vision, and values of the organization. • Assist in training sessions and educational initiatives related to CMMS and technology systems. • Attend technical and safety training meetings, courses, and seminars as required. • Perform other duties as assigned that support Technology Services and organizational initiatives.   Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Interest in technology systems, asset management, or program management. • Ability to take initiative, think critically, and contribute to problem solving activities. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. • Basic understanding of software systems, data structures, or IT concepts preferred. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with diverse teams. • Ability to analyze processes and document workflows clearly and accurately. • Willingness to learn about industry standards, best practices, and governance frameworks. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, SharePoint. Teams and Outlook. • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, policies, and procedures. • Ability to work independently under general direction. • Basic familiarity with programming languages, cloud environments, or software development concepts is beneficial but not required.   Qualifications / Experience • Enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in Information Technology, Project and/or Asset Management, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field. • Strong interest in technology systems, data management, or project coordination. • Experience with software systems, databases, or technical coursework is beneficial. • Must have a valid driver’s license and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets District standards.   Working Conditions / Physical Activities • Typically scheduled Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week depending on internship structure. • Standard office environment with frequent computer use and periodic interruptions; however, work may be performed on construction sites where there may be exposure to dust, noise, traffic and moving construction equipment; and/or at a water or wastewater treatment facility where noise, irritants, dust, dirt, bacteria, hazardous chemicals/air/materials and fumes are present. • Light physical effort involving lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 5 pounds frequently. • Activities may require stooping, twisting, kneeling, bending, leaning, and reaching. • Vision required for reading, data entry, and interpreting information; speech and hearing are required for communication in person and by phone.   *This job will be open until filled and will be posted for a minimum of 5 days from the date of the posting.  Qualifications
