We are seeking a motivated AI / Machine Learning Intern to join our Amsterdam, NY team to help design, build, and deploy practical AI solutions that support real business workflows. This is a hands-on role focused on applying modern AI tools—especially LLMs, automation, and data pipelines—to solve operational, manufacturing, and business challenges.

You’ll work closely with technology and operations leaders to prototype AI applications, improve internal processes, and explore how AI can scale across the organization.

What You’ll Work On

  • Build and test AI-powered applications and prototypes (e.g., internal tools, automation workflows, copilots)
  • Develop and fine-tune LLM-based solutions (prompting, RAG, embeddings, evaluation)
  • Assist in creating data pipelines to support AI models and analytics
  • Experiment with process automation using AI (document processing, forecasting, reporting, workflow optimization)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, manufacturing, sales, IT)
  • Document solutions and present findings to leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, AI/ML, or related field
  • Working knowledge of Python
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and/or generative AI
  • Experience using or experimenting with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models)
  • Comfortable learning new tools quickly and working in ambiguous problem spaces
  • Experience with APIs, REST services, or integrations
  • Exposure to SQL, Power BI, or data visualization tools
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience with automation frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Airflow, Zapier, etc.)
  • Interest in applying AI to real-world business operations

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with APIs, REST services, or integrations
  • Exposure to SQL, Power BI, or data visualization tools
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience with automation frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Airflow, Zapier, etc.)
  • Interest in applying AI to real-world business operations

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $17.00-21.00. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employee.
