Job Description

A challenging internship opportunity is calling for applicants who are interested in working as a part of a global, dynamic team where you can gather practical and on-the-job experience with a mix of day-to-day operations and projects.

As a program coordinator, you will join Bosch Japan’s team of Product Area OEM Diagnostics and Information Solutions Product Management, where your keen attention to detail, time management, cross-border and cross-functional communication skills and most importantly problem-solving mindset will drive the innovation of our global scale diagnostic tool products. You will be furthering the joint effort of Sales, Marketing, and Product to get products ready for customers. Besides, you will be highly encouraged to think like a CEO and drive your initiatives that do good for the company and the society.

This internship will open your way into the ever-changing world of car manufacturing technologies from which you can walk away with a broad, competitive set of business-ready skills and the knowledge domain of vehicle diagnostics – the core of Bosch’s customer service excellence. Noticeably, you will have a chance to build a meaningful business network to accelerate your future career with Bosch’s global intern community.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program or Master's program.

Problem-solving mindset: The ability to explain the problems, suggest solutions in structured ways and from customer perspectives, and always think of the next steps.

Sound time management and cross-cultural communication skills.

Willingness to rethink the obvious and to adopt ‘less is more’ mindset: How to innovate from daily common tasks? How to deliver high-quality work with less time?

Affinity for electric vehicles, mobile applications, and emerging technologies such as AI, Autonomous Vehicles, Big Data Analytics and Cloud, IoT and Connected Devices, etc.

Must be available for a full-time or part-time internship (40 hours/week or 28hours/week).

Work authorization in Japan.

Working proficiency level of English language.

Additional Information

Comfortability to communicate with Japanese native professionals in Japanese language.

Experience as a team leader at the university, extracurricular activities, and professional contexts.

Research awareness, interactivity, and confidence to drive new initiatives.

User of Microsoft Project and Confluence/Jira project management tools.

 

*We offer a very competitive monthly net allowance of 200,000 Yen on a full-time scheme. We will also provide you with all necessary documents and information for a successful Designated Activities visa application. Please note that the full visa process may take up to three months. Furthermore, applicants who intend to have an internship period for 12 months/already hold residence status in Japan will receive a monthly gross allowance.  

**Japanese Nationals:

Please note that Japanese nationals do not require a visa process. Depending on the needs of the receiving department, students fulfilling this condition may begin their internship within one month of being hired.

***Exchange students

Please note that foreign nationals on a student visa with permission for part-time job (資格外活動許可) do not require a visa process. Students fulfilling these conditions will be eligible to work on a part-time scheme only. Depending on the needs of the receiving department, exchange students may begin their internship within one month of being hired.

****Non-Japanese Nationals (visa requirements): 
Please note that applicants who are not Japanese nationals need to be eligible to obtain the Designated Activities Visa for an internship with Bosch Japan. Therefore, only students who fulfill the following conditions are eligible to apply:
A.) Enrolled student at a university at least 3 months before the internship and during the entire internship period.
B.) Doing the internship will require your university to sign a document confirming that the internship represents a mandatory or strongly recommended part of your university curriculum when applying for your visa.

Please note that due to the global Covid-19 situation, there will be the possibility of the internship being delayed or cancelled. We will keep in close contact with you, inform you ahead of such decisions and also take your personal situation into account.
