About the Role


What you will do 

Johnson Controls invites you to apply for an internship located in Linthicum, MD

This internship is designed to provide you with a positive work/training experience and challenging objectives. This position will be for the summer break term with the possibility to continue further into the semester. Under the guidance of a full-time JCI employee, the intern will be expected to perform HVAC or Fire Alarm design, create submittals, and perform general technical work in the district. Specific identified internship responsibilities are outlined below. 

  

Howyou will do it 

· Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues. 

· Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation. 

· Documents changes and provides information for as-built documentation. 

·  Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety. 

What we look for 

Required: 

· Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university 

· Pursuing a degree in engineering or HVAC or other technical degree 

· Currently a sophomore or higher status 

· Knowledgeable in the use of personal computers and the appropriate applications, including Excel, Word, AutoCAD, and PowerPoint. 

· U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship 

· Have strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team 

· Energetic and driven attitude - you do what it takes to get the task completed 

· Good organizational and problem solving skills 

· Ability to pass a background and drug screening

· Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
