Department Overview  

The Manufacturing Engineering Department is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production. It serves as a bridge between product design and production, enabling scalable and sustainable manufacturing operations. 

Position Responsibilities 

  • Project areas may include  

  • Design and fabrication of manufacturing tooling and fixtures 

  • Sustainability metrics ownership 

  • Manufacturing process improvements 

  • Propose new ideas to save on manufacturing costs, labor, or improve quality. 

  • Test and present findings for assigned projects. 

  • Create documentation and process flow diagrams, based on assigned projects.   

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Currently a student earning a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. 

  • Must be graduating between May 2026 and August 2027. 

Desired Qualifications 

  • Working knowledge of PC business software applications (Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)  

  • Highly motivated and a self-starter 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills  

  • Must demonstrate a bias for action and implementation 

  • Proven and demonstrated teamwork skills 

  • Focus on working with cross-functional teams 

  • Experience with leveraging spreadsheets, systems, and processes to complete tasks. 

  • Experience with creating 3D designs and drawings using dimensioning and tolerancing

  • Experience with SolidWorks preferred. 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel. 

  • Experience with robotics/automation preferred.
