About the Role
Overview

The College of Nursing is seeking a talented and motivated student to join our team at Auburn University! As an undergraduate IT Support student, you will work closely with our experienced professionals to help maintain and improve the university’s Information Technology systems. This position provides a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of Information Technology while pursuing your studies.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support for desktop, mobile computing, and client/server technology to include, but not limited to, installing and configuring computer hardware for clients, installing and configuring software on computers, troubleshooting technology problems, and recommending hardware and software appropriate for its intended use.
  • Provides consulting on routine technology solutions.
  • Assist Auburn University Nursing faculty and staff with basic computing questions and provide support for hardware and software troubleshooting, repairs, and routine maintenance.

  • Support IT staff with technology setup and maintenance, including installing software updates, imaging laptops and computers, and replacing or swapping out computer equipment.

  • Direct users to appropriate resources or personnel when issues cannot be resolved at the initial level.

  • Assist with setting up, transporting, and organizing technology equipment for library operations and events.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the IT workspace.


Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as an Auburn University undergraduate student.
  • Proficiency with professional computer systems and office applications. MS Office, Apple iOS, Windows platforms.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Reflect a positive attitude and a willingness to think out of the box.
