About the Role
Job Summary:
Works directly under appropriate supervision upon acceptance to and while enrolled in Pharmacy School until graduation. Provides pharmacy patient care in Pharmacies and Pharmacy Services. Maintains pharmacy services in accordance with departmental standards, including service, quality and affordability. Makes members/patients and their needs a primary focus of ones actions; develops and sustains productive member/patient relationships. Maintains knowledge of and assures departmental compliance with Kaiser Permanentes Principles of Responsibility and policies and procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • This position, knows and complies with all Kaiser Permanente quality, safety, and emergency policies and procedures. Demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice in every interaction with patients, colleagues, providers, and leadership. Ensures patient safety in the preparation and provisioning of care related to but not limited to medications, procedures, infection prevention, fall prevention, including consistent use of two patient identifiers and procedural time outs. Reports safety hazards, accidents and incidents, and unsafe working conditions promptly.
  • Learns and applies the functions of a pharmacist as allowed by the Colorado State Board of Pharmacy under appropriate supervision.
  • Supports department personnel in work assignments and patient care.
  • Participates in special projects as assigned and works at other locations as assigned.

  • Enrollment in an accredited School of Pharmacy or demonstration of an acceptance offer prior to enrollment.
  • High School Diploma OR General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
  • Pharmacy Intern License (Colorado)

  • Previous work experience in a pharmacy, health care related field or customer service.
