Summary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Operational Excellence and Corporate Affairs Intern will support the Operational Excellence and the Corporate Affairs team with projects at Nevada HAND, Inc. This role provides hands-on experience and engagement. This role will support the three goals found in the Strategic Plan:
- Real Estate Development Strategy Focused on Sustainability and Smart Growth;
- Empower Nevada HAND Employees and Residents; and
- Create a Culture of Operational Excellence & Efficiency.
Essential Functions and Work Duties:
The Operational Excellence and Corporate Affairs Intern will fulfill the following essential functions under the direction of the President/CEO and in collaboration with other NHI staff, and other collaborative partners in the organization.
The intern will assist with several key initiatives such as those listed here:
- Support the execution of the document retention policy.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and produce promotional flyers.
- Research Build America Buy America regulations to assist HCC project managers in developing internal compliance workflows.
- Utilize Smartsheet for system management and data analysis to support the Smart Steps Initiative.
- Partner with the Activities Coordinator at HAND Senior Living to plan and host an art class or other social engagement activities for residents.
- Work with Operational Excellence to plan and host department team buildings, all-staff events at the Home Office, holiday party, and other engagement events.
- Assist Corporate Affairs with the logistics and planning for events such as the block party, grand openings, ground breakings, site tours, etc.
- Other Duties: From time to time, it may be determined necessary for the well-being of the total operation for the intern to perform other duties

Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, and/or similar programs)
- Demonstrate professionalism and customer service skills
- Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment
