Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work primarily in the production line environment, following safety protocols and cleanroom procedures
  • Operate and maintain vacuum deposition equipment, performing chamber conditioning, process optimization, and recipe development under engineering supervision
  • Perform thin film characterization using analytical techniques such as Ellipsometry, X-ray Reflectivity (XRR), and Raman Spectroscopy to evaluate film properties and process quality
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data to evaluate process performance, identify trends, and recommend improvement opportunities
  • Gather and summarize experimental data to support process decisions. Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders
  • Identify process risks and issues proactively. Provide timely and effective solutions to minimize disruptions and ensure experiment continuity
  • Support the development and validation of new process conditions and deposition recipes to improve film quality and process efficiency

  • Maintain experiment schedules, track milestones, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. Communicate progress clearly and follow up on deliverables

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Instrumentation, Industrial Physics or equivalent experience
  • Basic knowledge or coursework in vacuum technology and thin film deposition principles
  • Able to work on-site in a production/cleanroom environment

PREFERRED:

  • Hands-on experience or laboratory coursework with thin film deposition systems (e.g., sputtering, HIPIMS, cathodic arc, or ion beam systems)
  • Knowledge of thin film characterization techniques such as Ellipsometry, X-ray Reflectivity (XRR), and Raman Spectroscopy
  • Understanding of vacuum systems, pumping mechanisms, and gas delivery systems
  • Familiarity with data analysis for experimental data processing

SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Good level of English proficiency (written and verbal communication)
  • Ability to prepare clear reports and presentations to communicate experimental results
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Eager to learn and adaptable to fast-paced production environment
  • Good time management and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
