About the Role
POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of this internship is to provide talented individuals with on-the-job experience in the various areas within the Risk
Management-Cargo Claims department, while contributing to the success of the organization. Interns will receive exposure to
logistics, data analysis, customer communication, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment to help build practical skills
 
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Gain hands-on experience in Freight Claims and Refrigerated (Reefer) Download Analysis
* Assist with receiving and documenting Risk Management calls and reports related to freight overage, shortage, and damage
(OS&D), exceptions, load shifts, overweight loads, rework, and hazardous materials
* Help maintain, analyze, and improve Risk Management records, procedures, and customer/vendor contact information, and
related processes
* Research, compile, and track reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence related to customer freight issues
* Access Reefer Telematics Systems to pull temperature and performance reports
* Review and analyze data to ensure the correct trailer, asset, and date range are selected
* Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams
* Follows instructions, asks questions, and learns new processes
* Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
* Take on additional tasks and projects designed to build professional experience
Qualifications

* Curious, energetic, and open to learning new systems and processes
* Team-oriented with a positive attitude
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program and actively pursuing a degree
