About the Role

Job Summary

This 10-week internship will provide accounting support to multiple departments at our Corporate Office.  When you join our team, you'll find a blend of experienced accounting professionals, plus new professionals like you. This combination gives Western Midstream a wealth of experience, fresh ideas, and the ability to make those ideas a reality.

As an intern, you'll receive on-the-job training and gain proficiency through a variety of work. Your assignments will focus on technical mastery, project-team skills, business understanding and building user relationships.

Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States of America
  • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0
  • High level of enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Ability to quickly adapt and work within multiple teams
  • Awareness of and demonstration of Western Midstream’s Core Values
  • Ability to apply independent judgment to implement practical applications of educations
  • Ability to prepare and present the results of research and analysis, verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

  • Gain exposure to multiple facets of the energy industry from both corporate and operational accounting departments including internal controls, internal audit, financial accounting, financial reporting, revenue, and property.
  • Assist assigned department in day-to-day activities and special projects as assigned

Educational Requirements

  • Enrollment in Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Candidates must have completed their sophomore or junior year of an Accounting degree program prior to the start of their employment.
  • The ideal candidate will have completed Intermediate Accounting I and II.

Travel Requirements

  • The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.

Work Schedule

  • This position will work 9 hours Monday – Thursday and 4 hours on Friday.
