Kaleidoscope Park Foundation Overview
Kaleidoscope Park is a new, approximately six-acre, community park in Frisco, Texas that opened in late 2024. The park is an inclusive and accessible arts and culture-driven community gathering space activated with year-round engaging and diverse free public programming. This new public space features amenities such as a Kaleidoscope pavilion, children’s play area, dog park, gardens, public art, water features, and technology terraces. Park operations are overseen and funded by the Kaleidoscope Park Foundation, a nonprofit supporting organization of Communities Foundation of Texas, in a public-private partnership with the City of Frisco.

Intern Program Overview
This program is designed to foster a mutually beneficial relationship that promotes growth and development for Communities Foundation of Texas, our employees, and college students. This is a paid internship program provides a unique opportunity to enhance academic learning, apply classroom knowledge in real-world scenarios, and gain exposure to a professional work environment. Each intern is paired with a dedicated supervisor who mentors them, helps develop business skills, and oversees their work experience. Interns actively contribute as team members by setting goals, meeting deadlines, and engaging in meaningful work that helps our community thrive.
The program requires an 8 week commitment, during which interns participate in formal training, mentoring, hands-on learning, and networking opportunities with senior leaders.
- Program starts June 1, 2026, and ends July 24, 2026.
- 30 hours per week with a pay rate of $20 per hour.
Participation in the internship requires that you legally reside in Texas with in-person attendance at Collin County office, in accordance with an in-office model, for the duration of the program.

Intern, Marketing & Public Relations
Kaleidoscope Park Foundation is seeking a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to support digital communications and brand visibility efforts. This internship provides hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, content creation, media outreach, and digital strategy while supporting a dynamic public park and cultural destination.
The Marketing Intern will play an important role in promoting programs, events, partnerships, and community initiatives.
What you’ll do:
Email Marketing
- Draft, design, and schedule weekly eblasts
- Build audience segments and manage distribution lists
- Track performance metrics and provide basic analytics reports
Social Media
- Create engaging social media content, including captions, graphics, and short-form video
- Schedule and publish posts across platforms
- Monitor engagement and respond to comments and messages as appropriate
- Assist with content planning and maintaining a social calendar
Website Management
- Update website content, including event listings, sponsor recognition, and program information
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across all pages
- Assist with uploading photos, blogs, and announcements
Public Relations Support
- Draft and submit press releases to local media outlets
- Maintain media contact lists
- Assist with gathering photos, quotes, and supporting materials for media opportunities
Digital and Marketing Support
- Assist with graphic design projects and digital collateral
- Support event promotion campaigns
- Help maintain brand consistency across all platforms
- on-site support at major events for content capture
What you’ll need
- Enrolled in a four-year accredited college, university, or graduate program with good academic standing.
- Basic understanding of working in an office environment, workplace ethics, and effective communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Demonstrated strong organizational and planning abilities, with a track record of effectively coordinating, facilitating, and implementing projects in previous work or academic settings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to analyze and synthesize information for effective problem-solving, are highly valued.
- A passion for nonprofit partnership in the community.
- Effectively model and demonstrate CFT’s core competencies, which include Collaboration, Impact and Problem Solving, Integrity and Accountability, Learning, and Internal and External Service.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
