Intern – DevOps

The Opportunity

We are currently on the lookout for an Intern – DevOps to join our team. As a DevOps Intern, you will work closely with our experienced DevOps engineers to learn and contribute to building and maintaining modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in implementing and improving CI/CD pipelines
• Supporting the deployment and automation of cloud-based systems (AWS, GCP)
• Learning and applying best practices for infrastructure as code and containerization
• Helping monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues under guidance
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to Agile delivery processes
• Documenting processes, configurations, and improvements
• Exploring AI-driven tools and automation opportunities as part of Sysco’s innovation initiatives

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• A basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (AWS knowledge is a plus)
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes (academic or project experience acceptable)
• Must possesses a keen interest in automation, scripting, and learning programming languages like Python or Groovy
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
