About the Role
Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Build and maintain lab demos -- develop software to integrate APIs, sensors, and evaluation boards into working demonstrations that showcase Infineon products and solutions to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Create AI-powered productivity tools -- design and implement Python-based tools leveraging LLMs (e.g., OpenAI API, GitHub Copilot) to automate repetitive workflows, streamline documentation, and boost the team's day-to-day efficiency.


Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
  • Educational Background:
    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • Technical Skills (Required):
    • Python programming (solid working proficiency)
    • Experience integrating APIs and connecting software components (RESTAPIs, SDKs, serial/USB communication)
    • Familiarity with AI/LLM tools and APIs (e.g., OpenAI API, GitHub Copilot, prompt engineering, local model integration)
    • Comfortable with scripting and automation (e.g., Selenium, process automation, data pipelines)
    • Version control with Git
  • Technical Skills (Nice to Have):
    • Basic hardware/electronics understanding (sensor hookup, demo boardwiring, microcontrollers such as PSoC or Arduino)
    • Web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) for building simple dashboards or interactive demos
    • Experience with python-pptx, Office automation, or similar productivity scripting
    • Familiarity with semiconductor or sensor products
  • Work Experience:
    • Prior project work or internship involving API integration, tool building, or demo setup
    • Any personal or academic projects using AI/ML tools for practical applications
  • Language Requirements:
    • Fluent in either English or Chinese (written and spoken)
  • Soft Skills:
    • Self-starter who can take a vague task and turn it into a working prototype
    • Hands-on problem-solver -- willing to debug, iterate, and get things running
    • Good communicator -- able to explain software tools and demos to colleagues from non-software backgrounds (e.g., hardware engineers, application engineers, product marketing)
    • Organized -- can maintain and document demo setups so others can reproduce them
    • Curious about AI trends and eager to apply new tools to real workflows
