Job Description & Summary

As an intern in PwC’s Assurance Data Centre of Excellence (Data CoE), you will play an active role in supporting audit teams through data‑driven solutions. This internship is designed to give you hands‑on responsibility in handling client data, building analytics, and contributing directly to assurance engagements. You will be expected to take ownership of tasks, deliver high‑quality outputs, and collaborate closely with both auditors and data specialists.

1. Data Handling & Preparation

  • Extract, cleanse, and transform large datasets from client systems with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data used in audit procedures.

2. Analytics & Insights

  • Apply data analytics techniques (trend analysis, anomaly detection, sampling, predictive modelling) to support risk assessments and substantive testing.
  • Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide actionable insights for audit teams.

3. Audit Support

  • Work directly with Assurance teams to integrate data analytics into audit workflows.
  • Document methodologies and results to ensure transparency and audit trail compliance.

4. Automation & Innovation

  • Contribute to automation initiatives by developing scripts, workflows, or reusable models.
  • Suggest improvements to existing processes and tools to enhance efficiency.

5. Collaboration & Communication

  • Present findings and visualizations to audit teams and managers in a clear, professional manner.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members on data tools and techniques.

Overall, as an intern in PwC’s Assurance Data Centre of Excellence (Data CoE), you will take on meaningful responsibilities that directly support audit engagements through data‑driven solutions.
