Job Description:
Preference will be given to candidates who can commit to the full duration of the internship (Mondays to Fridays, July to December 2026) and are authorised to work without visa sponsorship.
This is an internship with the Global Transaction Banking (GTB) team which will allow the intern to gain experience on live deal management, client relationship skills, operations and processes adopted by the team. The intern will acquire broad banking knowledge and have excellent opportunity to experience day-to-day life with different teams, and to work together with an international team.
Objectives
The intern can look forward to gain a strong understanding of the following:
Exposure to a wide variety of Global Transaction Banking products which includes Core Trade & Working Capital Solutions, Financial Institutions Correspondent banking, Relationship Management and Corporate Cash Management.
Advanced understanding of the Financial Institutions business framework (CAD clearing, Continuous Linked Settlement, Deposit accounts), Trade finance products (Import/Export Letter of credit, re-issuances etc.), EAF (aircraft and infrastructure financing, bi-lateral loans etc.).
Active client management skills dealing with both Financial Institutions and Corporates.
Deal origination process in GTB products within the stipulated risk framework.
Effective distribution of transaction banking products to global and regional institutional clients.
Synergy between different desks within Global Markets in TDS, and how they complement with GTB.
Assist in initiatives and projects, including research, follow-ups with stakeholders, arranging meetings, and taking minutes.
Requirements
The intern should possess the following attributes:
Ability to commit for a 6-month full time internship from July to December 2026.
Students who are currently doing their undergraduate/post graduate education.
Independent, organized, diligent with an eye for details.
Positive learning attitude and acute business acumen.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Possess excellent time management and skills and comfortable with managing multiple deliverables at a time.
Be able to build progressive relationships with stakeholders globally.
Proficient in Microsoft office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
VBA knowledge is preferred.
