Position Title: Emerging Talent Summit

Status (E/NE, FT/PT): Unpaid, Part-Time   


Summary:

Are you looking to be part of a high-performing team of go-getters who make a difference both on and off the court? Join the Detroit Pistons as we harness the power of basketball to unite our city, elevate our fans, and drive lasting community impact.


The Emerging Talent Summit is a three-day immersive experience designed to give the next generation of sports leaders a firsthand look into the business of Detroit Basketball. As an attendee you’ll participate in daily workshops, enhance your network, and learn what it takes to join the Pistons team.

What you’ll be doing:

For 3 days from 9:00am to 5:30pm attendees will be on-site for the Emerging Talent Summit. Throughout the day participants will hear from current Detroit Pistons executives, participate in hands-on learning initiatives, and collaborate with fellow attendees to create a fifteen-minute end of summit presentation. 


What we’re looking for:

· Applications must include a resume, one-page letter of interest, and two recommendation letters.

· Willingness to actively participate in each session by asking questions and listening attentively. 

· Ability to provide your own housing and transportation through duration of the summit. 

· May not have previously been employed by Detroit Pistons, Motor City Cruise, or Palace Sports and Entertainment.

· Must be currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior; or possess a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
