About the Role

As an Economic Research Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced economists, traders, and analysts to support real-world research and market analysis across agriculture, energy, and commodities. This role is ideal for students who enjoy working with data, uncovering insights, and understanding how economic trends influence business decisions.

 

What You Will Do

  • Collect, clean, and analyze economic, agricultural, and energy-related data
  • Support the development of econometric and statistical models
  • Create reports, presentations, and data visualizations to communicate insights
  • Monitor and summarize key industry reports, including EIA and USDA publications
  • Assist merchandisers and traders with ongoing research and analysis projects

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience or coursework using analytical tools such as Excel, Python, or Stata
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work independently, and collaborate with a team
