We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Intern to support the Legal and Compliance Department of a the country’s leading cosmetic surgery provider. This internship provides hands-on experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory research, policy development, and operational support. The ideal candidate is interested in healthcare law, ethics, and regulatory frameworks and is eager to learn in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Assist with monitoring and auditing compliance with healthcare laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute)
- Support the development, review, and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures
- Conduct legal and regulatory research on federal and state healthcare requirements
- Assist in organizing and tracking compliance training programs and material
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Law, or a related field
- Strong interest in healthcare compliance, ethics, or regulatory affairs
- Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Sharepoint
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential and privileged information
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work onsite at the Corporate Office in Bellevue, WA for a minimum of 3 days a week. May work in remote office locations on Wednesdays and Fridays.
COMPENSATION:
This is a non-exempt position with an hourly range of $20.00 hour, depending on experience.
Pay may vary by location, and actual compensation depends on factors like qualifications, experience, skills, and business needs. Sono Bello may adjust this range in the future. Full-time employees may also receive benefits such as incentives, equity, health coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
