About the Role

Dyson’s Global Product Communications team shapes the narrative across our technology categories. We work closely with business units and global markets to tell compelling stories about our products, innovation, and technology and engineering expertise, bringing Dyson’s technology stories to life and ensuring they resonate with audiences worldwide.  

 

About the role  

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Communications Intern to join Dyson’s Global Home Technology Communications team, working across our Floorcare and Environmental Care categories. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product storytelling and global campaign design and execution for a leading, global technology company.  

 

You will work with the Global Home Technology Communications team to develop content and assets that amplify Dyson’s leading position and innovative technologies across earned media and owned social platforms 

 

What you will do 

  • Product launch and campaign development support. Understand our unique and pioneering technologies and be part of the team that builds their awareness worldwide. Support the development of product messaging and narratives for Dyson’s Floorcare and Environmental Care categories, ensuring alignment with Dyson’s global strategy and tone of voice. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (commercial, social, engineering, retail) to deliver integrated communications plans.  

  • Global communications support. Assist in creating press materials, including press releases, media briefs, product messaging, FAQs or spokespeople bios for new product launches and campaigns. 

  • Media monitoring and analysis. Be on the front row seat for the implementation of our new global media monitoring tool and be part of its onboarding team. Track global coverage across Dyson’s Floorcare and Environmental care categories and assist with reporting on campaign performance. Identify emerging trends, potential risks, and opportunities for storytelling.  

  • Market support & coordination. Liaise with local market communications teams to ensure consistent and accurate product messaging. Review market-localised press materials to ensure alignment with global narratives and brand guidelines. Support with identifying and securing the right spokesperson attribution.  

 

About you 

  • Pursuing a degree in the field of Advertising and Marketing Communications, Public Relations, or similar  the internship must be part of your ongoing education. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to craft clear, engaging product narratives that resonates with diverse audiences.  

  • Interest in technology and innovation, with a passion for storytelling.  

  • Strong project management, organisational, and time management skills. Highly organised, proactive, and able to flexibly manage multiple projects and deadlines while prioritising key deliverables 

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and adapting quickly to change.  

  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude, able to build and maintain effective and strong working relationships with teams across the world.  

  • Proactive and a doer. While working with others is a vital part of the role, this individual should be a highly motivated, independent self-starter that can work autonomously and take the initiative to identify work that needs to be done and ways to support the team.
