Position Description:
The Industrial Design Intern will support the design team with hands‑on work across research, ideation, CAD development, and prototyping efforts. This role offers exposure to real‑world product development workflows while contributing to physical products through concept development, sample evaluation, and production‑ready design support.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct design research and support early ideation efforts
- Creat3 sketches and develop concepts through visual exploration
- Assist with 3D modeling and prepare CAD files
- Support 3D printing and basic prototyping tasks
- Review and evaluate physical samples alongside the design team
- Examine and organize vendor-provided CAD and design data
- Learn and follow internal design processes and documentation standards
- Support on product visualization tasks and renders
- Apply consistent, on-brand industrial design styles
- Make design revisions based on internal and stakeholder feedback
- Help with daily design tasks
What We’re Looking For:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Design, or related field
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Familiarity with manufacturing principles
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Effective communication and time-management skills
- Working Knowledge of CAD and visualization software (Rhino 3D, Keyshot)
- Effective Sketching Skills – Visual Communication (traditional/digital)
- Baseline knowledge of rapid prototyping principles
