About The Company
Precise Tool & Mfg. is a state of the art CNC machine shop with over 80 CNC machine tools at its disposal under 200,000 square feet of roof. Our machine tools vary from 3 axis to 5 axis machining centers with the majority being 4 and 5 axis. Pending the material type we can utilize our high speed machining centers with spindle speeds up to 25,000 rpm. Precise can machine parts from 2 lbs up to 120,000 lbs specializing in both production and prototype machining. Our facility can turn parts from 1 inch up to 18 feet in diameter and mill parts from 3 inches up to 20 feet long. Customer’s electronic files are used for programming our machine tools and to inspect the parts on coordinate measuring machines. With the redundancy in machine tools, our customers never have to worry about a machine going down. On blanket orders/volume orders Precise Tool will maintain inventory and ship parts per your request.

The company, founded in 2002, serves multiple industries, including defense, medical, and aerospace, and operates out of a 250,000-square-foot facility. 
 

JOB SUMMARY   

Advantech Industries Inc. is seeking an Engineering Co-op student who is looking to complete a co-op requirement within our fast-paced manufacturing shop. The selected candidate will act as an intermediary between sales and engineering, and will be expected to interface with all team members on a daily basis. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing process—from inception to delivery. 

  • Duties of this position are varied and may include the following: 
    • Prepares RFQs for the sales department. 
    • Makes prints and downloads files from secure customer sites.
    • Maintains electronic master file system.
    • Supports production quality documentation.
    • Secures materials pricing. 
    • Updates and submits Production and Engineering forms for review.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Understanding of mechanical fasteners
  • Knowledge of computers, Microsoft products (primarily Outlook, Excel, and Word), and the ability to work with many different file types is critical
  • Ability to troubleshoot
  • Ability to create concise visual instructions

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering


According to the New York Pay Transparency law, the pay rate for this job is $20.00 / hour.
