is a security integration company that designs, installs, and supports customized security solutions for organizations across healthcare, manufacturing, data centers, utilities, retail, and public-sector environments. Our team works closely with customers to deploy integrated technologies including video surveillance, access control, life-safety communication systems, and monitoring platforms.

We are seeking a motivated and curious Sales Intern to support our sales development efforts. This role is designed for a student entering their senior year who wants hands-on exposure to professional sales, security technology, and business development operations. The Sales Intern supports Digital Provisions’ sales development efforts by conducting outbound prospecting and identifying organizations that may benefit from modern security technology solutions. The role focuses on developing prospecting discipline, learning discovery conversations, and generating early pipeline intelligence for the sales team.

Interns will work from the Digital Provisions office in Ronkonkoma, NY, and collaborate closely with the Director of Sales, Vice President of Sales, and Business Development team. The internship provides exposure to real-world sales development practices including prospect research, CRM usage, cold outreach, and opportunity discovery. This role is intended to develop foundational sales skills while contributing measurable pipeline input to the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

Prospecting & Outreach
• Conduct outbound calls to prospective organizations across targeted industries including healthcare, manufacturing, data centers, retail, utilities, and commercial facilities.
• Maintain disciplined outreach activity with a target of approximately 50–100 calls per day.
• Re-engage older leads and identify new contacts using sales intelligence platforms.
• Document all outreach activity in HubSpot CRM.

Sales Discovery & Intelligence Gathering
• Identify and document key information about an organization’s security environment including existing systems, operational challenges, and decision-making structure.
• Identify early signals that an organization may be evaluating upgrades to cameras, access control, or monitoring systems.
• Capture meaningful discovery insights that qualify as Sales Unit Points (SUPs).
• Escalate promising conversations to sales leadership when appropriate.

Pipeline Opportunity Identification
• Identify potential security modernization opportunities with estimated project values exceeding $10,000.
• Document early-stage opportunities and supporting insights in HubSpot CRM.
• Participate in weekly pipeline review sessions with sales leadership.

Meeting Generation
• Schedule discovery meetings with facilities managers, IT leaders, or security decision-makers.
• Support the sales team in preparing for discovery meetings by documenting relevant insights and customer background information.
• Prioritize in-person meetings whenever possible.

Sales Operations Support
• Maintain accurate CRM records including call notes, meeting activity, and opportunity tracking.
• Participate in weekly sales pipeline review sessions.
• Assist the sales team with research on target industries and organizations.

Professional Development
• Participate in role-playing exercises with the Vice President of Sales and BDR / AE.
• Learn Digital Provisions’ security technologies including surveillance, access control, and life-safety systems.
• Attend vendor lunch-and-learn sessions to build industry knowledge.

Tools & Systems Exposure
• HubSpot – CRM and meeting tracking
• ZoomInfo – lead generation and prospect research
• Microsoft Office Suite – communication and organization
• Microsoft Teams – internal collaboration


Qualifications:

Must Haves
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, or a related field (preferred: rising senior entering final year).
• Strong verbal communication skills and comfort initiating conversations with new people.
• Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to document conversations and notes clearly.
• Self-motivated with strong work ethic and curiosity about sales or business development.
• Ability to handle frequent outreach activity and maintain consistent daily effort.
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Excel, and Teams.

Nice to Haves
• Previous internship, campus leadership role, or customer-facing experience.
• Interest in sales, entrepreneurship, or business development.
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
• Interest in technology industries, security systems, or infrastructure.
• Experience in retail, hospitality, or other roles requiring communication with customers.
