International Trainee for International Education Services

The University of Helsinki Trainee Programme for International Master Students is open to all international students enrolled in a University of Helsinki master’s programme. We are looking for an 

International Trainee for the International Education Services  

About the Role

As a trainee, you will take on a varied set of responsibilities centred on supporting international students. Your primary tasks will include creating a newsletter series for first year international degree students, assisting with the Check-In Event, and organising events in the Guidance Corner. You will also upload content for our blog and assist with our Instagram presence. Depending on your interests and strengths, you may also have an opportunity to contribute to broader student administration tasks. The position is based at the City Centre Campus.

About you

You are passionate about supporting international students and curious about the world of student services. You communicate with confidence and clarity in both written and spoken English, and you are comfortable navigating digital tools and platforms. You are comfortable working independently, while understanding the importance of keeping colleagues up to date. You have a proactive, detail-oriented and responsible approach to your work and can adapt when priorities shift. Experience in communication, creative writing and event organisation is a plus.

The duration of the traineeship is from 10 August to 10 December 2026 (four months) of part-time (55%) work, leaving time for studies as well. The salary of a trainee is €825 per month for a part-time (55%) trainee.
