Job Description

Purpose

The Procurement / Sourcing Intern will support the sourcing team in managing transactional procurement activities and maintaining procurement data integrity. This role is designed to absorb operational workload such as RFQ issuance, supplier onboarding coordination, and system data maintenance, enabling the sourcing team to focus on strategic initiatives including cost reduction, supplier development, localization, and supplier excellence projects.

By supporting approximately 25–30 hours of operational workload per week, the intern will help improve RFQ turnaround time, enhance data accuracy in procurement systems, and support sourcing project execution. This role also provides practical exposure to procurement operations and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the sourcing team in issuing and tracking Requests for Quotation (RFQs) with suppliers.
  • Compile and organize supplier quotations and assist with preliminary price validation.
  • Maintain procurement data including Purchasing Info Records (PIR) and Source Lists in the ERP system.
  • Assist with supplier onboarding activities including vendor creation and documentation tracking.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance on QIR / FAIR submission tracking and documentation follow-up.
  • Support price list updates and validation for sourcing projects, including transfers and localization initiatives.
  • Track sourcing project progress and maintain reporting files for cost savings and project status.
  • Assist with preparation of sourcing documentation and RFQ packages including drawings and specifications.
  • Support internal reporting to improve visibility of sourcing activities and operational metrics.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and basic data management.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow structured processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Available for a 6-month internship commitment.
