2026 Undergraduate Summer Intern – Job Posting
Department Title: Undergrad Intern – Global Technology & Operations Strategy & Enablement Intern
Location: Baltimore – Hybrid

Start Date: All interns must start in office and in person on June 8, 2026.
Anticipated End Date: August 14, 2026 – All interns must be in office and in person on their last day to return equipment. Interns must be located in the same location throughout the duration of their internship and are prohibited from returning laptop/equipment to a different office location or shipping their equipment back.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated intern to support a cross-functional initiative focused on operating model evolution, workforce optimization, and global collaboration across Franklin Templeton.
This role will work closely with senior leaders across Technology, Finance, Human Resources, and Corporate Strategy to help shape how the firm organizes work, builds capabilities, and enables high-performing teams globally.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-impact, enterprise-level effort at the intersection of strategy, talent, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of enterprise operating model strategies
- Conduct analysis on:
- Workforce composition (by role, level, and function)
- Skills and capabilities across teams
- Organizational structures, spans, and layers
- Help build frameworks to:
- Align work with business priorities and capabilities
- Enhance collaboration across teams and functions
- Assist in developing:
- Presentation materials for senior leadership
- Executive summaries and synthesis of working sessions
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Technology, Finance, HR) to gather and structure inputs
- Support planning and coordination of ongoing strategic workstreams
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in:
- Business, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems and synthesize insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel (or similar tools)
- Curiosity about how organizations operate and evolve
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in:
- Strategy / consulting
- Organizational design
- Workforce planning
- Experience with:
- Data analysis or modeling
- Building structured presentations for executive audiences

This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 40 (dependent on state/location) hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $26 (dependent on location and function) USD per hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
