About The Company
Munson creates transformational arts experiences that cultivate curiosity and creativity, enlighten, educate, and inspire. The museum is free and open to the public. Special exhibitions carry separate admission fees. Performing Arts and Film Series events also require admission. About the Role


While focusing their work on membership and development needs, the development intern will connect with all divisions at the Institute, including Museum of Art, School of Art and Performing

Arts, learning program needs from division directors and building capacity to speak to the breadth and depth of Munson divisions.

This is a temporary position until May 15, 2026. Hours are 9 a.m, until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.


Responsibilities

Development

● Assist with membership initiatives, including mail, email, phone and social media outreach to lapsed members, neighbors and other potential members identified

● Engage with public at Institute functions

● Research and advise on membership development among college students and recent college graduates

● Help define and promote business membership opportunities

Outreach

● In collaboration with manager of social media, manage and enhance Munson’s presence in relevant online platforms

● Work with development team to create outreach initiatives for area students and young adults

● Engage with leadership donors at recognition events and direct outreach Systems

● Research and help streamline the process for acknowledgements of memberships and donations

● Assist in development of campaign and other reporting tools using Munson’s database and CRM software tools

● Review and update names, addresses, and other contact information in membership database


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in related field
