The IT Tech Office Munich is part of the global Innovation, Emerging Technologies division at the BMW Group. Our mission is to identify, test, and evaluate emerging technologies early on. You will contribute to cutting-edge research projects in areas such as generative AI and technical data integration, helping to shape the digital future of premium automotive manufacturing.

 

What awaits you?

  • You will support the implementation of proof-of-concepts in areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, and data processing.
  • Furthermore, you help develop and test software components within ongoing research projects.
  • In addition, you contribute to building small-scale microservices or technical prototypes using Python, TypeScript, Docker, or similar technologies.
  • Moreover, you assist with setting up data pipelines for text, sensor, or engineering data and evaluating benchmark results.
  • You will also gain hands-on experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS.

 

What should you bring along?

  • Studies in computer science, business informatics, data science, or a related field, ideally in the second half of your program.
  • Solid programming skills in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar languages.
  • Initial experience with container technologies like Docker, cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform, or DevOps tools is a plus.
  • Strong interest in new technologies and willingness to dive into complex topics.
  • Structured working style and analytical thinking.
  • Very good German or English language skills.
