We are offering an exciting paid placement for a motivated and enthusiastic student to join our Finance Department for a 12‑month industry placement. This role is ideal for students who want to gain hands‑on experience, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop professional skills within a supportive environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Student Placement within Finance Department, you will support the team with a range of tasks, which may include: 

  • Assisting with data analysis and the preparation of reports
  • Supporting the review of financial transactions and processes to identify any issues or areas requiring attention
  • Assisting in the production of Finance reports for use across the force
  • Providing analysis and presentations to deliver clear and meaningful information to stakeholders
  • Providing support across a range of departmental activities, including Finance Business Partnering, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Procurement, and Statutory Financial Reporting, to gain broad experience and understanding of the finance function
  • Contributing to the enhancement of departmental processes, systems, and tools to support the continuous improvement of service delivery
  • Are currently studying for a degree in a relevant subject areas:
    • Accounting
    • Finance & Financial Management
    • Economics
    • Business Analytics
    • Risk Management
    • Audit & Compliance
    • Mathematics / Applied Mathematics
    • Investment & Financial Modelling
    • Management Accounting

 

Your work will contribute directly to the department’s objectives and provide valuable real‑world experience.
