Role Summary

The General Stores Scholar will support the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) Logistics team by analyzing SAP master data and working directly with physical parts to identify duplicates, commonalities, and potential optimization opportunities. This position provides valuable exposure to material management, SAP systems, and warehouse operations while contributing to inventory accuracy and cost reduction efforts.

Possible Tasks within this Role

  • Analyze SAP master data to identify duplicate or similar parts and recommend consolidation opportunities.
  • Conduct physical verification of parts to confirm data accuracy and identify redundancies.
  • Collaborate with shop teams to confirm technical details and ensure data integrity.
  • Perform SAP transactions related to material movement in coordination with warehouse staff.
  • Research and suggest potential substitute or replacement parts to support cost savings and process improvement.

Qualification requirements

  • Rising sophomore, junior or senior
  • Strong GPA
  • Strong preference for Business Administration, Logistics s or related degree

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Experience or coursework in SAP and data analytics preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
