Our Internship Program offers undergraduate and graduate students a hands-on and learning-intensive opportunity to gain relevant work experience at the #1 Direct Selling brand of Skin Care and Color Cosmetics in the World. Mary Kay interns participate in activities that introduce them to our people centered culture, our products, and the Independent Sales Force.

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Cloud Security Engineering Intern to support the security of our cloud infrastructure and applications. This internship offers hands-on experience working with modern cloud platforms, security tools, and DevSecOps practices while collaborating with experienced security and engineering professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) by applying security best practices and baseline configurations.

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, roles, and permissions.

  • Help identify and remediate cloud security risks, misconfigurations, vulnerability scanning, and compliance gaps.

  • Assist with security logging, monitoring, and alerting using CSPM and third-party tools.

  • Support incident response efforts, including investigation, documentation, and remediation tracking.

  • Help automate security controls and checks using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

  • Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).

  • Document security processes, findings, and recommendations clearly and accurately.

  • Stay up to date on emerging cloud security threats, tools, and best practices.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.
  • To be eligible you must be currently enrolled as a full-time student (undergraduate) or part time (graduate) as defined by your university at the time of application.
  • Junior or Senior academic standing preferred.
  • This job requires on-site work at our Global Headquarters in Addison, TX

  • Strong interest in application security, DevSecOps, and cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and DevOps tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
