Social Media Intern

About the Opportunity
The Social Media Intern will support the day-to-day content creation, implementation, and management of Bailey and Bailey Consumer Brands’ social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and LinkedIn. This role will also provide learning opportunities in community management across owned channels. This is a hands-on, execution-focused internship that will allow the intern to gain experience helping bring social media strategies to life across multiple platforms during a high-content season.
Duties and Responsibilities

Content Creation & Publishing
- Assist with creating and scheduling content across B2B and B2C social media channels by filming b-roll, editing short-form video, sourcing images, and drafting brand-aligned social copy.
- Learn how social campaigns, product launches, and seasonal initiatives are implemented, while supporting related content needs, creator relationships, and paid creator campaign deliverables.
- Support scriptwriting for long-form video content.
- Participate in photo and video shoots as needed.
Community Management
- Gain experience providing community management support across owned social media channels, Garden Gab™, and web contact forms.
- Assist in engaging with home gardeners and followers on behalf of Bailey and Bailey Consumer Brands across social media platforms.
Analytics & Optimization
- Help track, review, and learn from weekly social media performance and trend research.
- Conduct daily trend research to support and inform social strategy for the brands.
- Assist in using analytics insights to help optimize upcoming posts and overall social strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Preferred majors or fields of study include Marketing, Communications, Strategic Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Agricultural Communications, or a related field.
- Strong interest in content creation and social media storytelling.
- Enthusiastic and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and contribute.
- Current knowledge of relevant social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Basic understanding of social media best practices and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including familiarity with AP style.
- Team-focused attitude and excitement to learn in a collaborative environment.
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Experience with digital marketing tools such as CapCut, Sprout, or similar platforms is preferred, but not required.
