The Better Business Bureau, MN and ND is currently seeking a motivated college student to be our summer HR & Office Administration Intern, onsite at our Burnsville, MN office.

The HR & Office Administration Intern will gain hands-on experience by supporting the daily operations of our Human Resources and Office Administration functions. This internship provides meaningful exposure to HR administration, employee engagement initiatives, internal communications, and general office operations, while working closely with the Vice President of Human Resources and the Office & HR Administrator.
Position Summary
The HR & Office Administration Intern supports a variety of administrative and human resources activities that contribute to a positive employee and visitor experience. The intern assists with HR documentation, internal communications, employee engagement initiatives, event coordination, and front office support, while learning core HR and organizational processes.
Human Resources Responsibilities include:
· Assist with HR administrative tasks, including creating and updating documents such as policies, job aids, and internal resources
· Enhance efficiency of tasks using Microsoft Copilot AI within Outlook, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 apps
· Support internal communications, including employee recognition emails, benefit and wellness communications, and webinar invitations
· Maintain and update organizational charts and HR records as needed
· Assist with employee engagement initiatives, including Lunch & Learn programs and training activities
· Support new hire processes and general HR administration
· Participate as a member of the “Fun Patrol” and “Wellness” Committee, assisting with planning and hosting employee events
· Assist with various HR projects and programs that support a positive workplace culture
Office Administration Responsibilities include:
· Provide coverage for the front lobby and reception area as needed, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment
· Greet accredited businesses, visitors, employees, tenants, and partners
· Provide general administrative support to the office and various departments, including employee services, mail, shipping, office supplies, and copier support
· Assist with planning, coordinating, and supporting employee meetings, events, and activities
· Support office operations that enhance the overall employee and visitor experience
Requirements
· Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or Office Administration program
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
· Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to new responsibilities
· Self-motivated, dependable, and willing to take initiative
· Demonstrated ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with PowerPoint and Teams a plus. BBB will train interns on these programs as needed, along with Microsoft Copilot AI
· Bilingual skills are a plus

Schedule/Work Location/ Pay
· We’re looking for the HR & Office Admin Intern to work up to 40 hours per week.
· This internship role is in-office, and located at our Burnsville Office: 220 S. River Ridge Circle, Burnsville, MN
· The pay for this internship position is $17.50/ hour.
· The internship program starts Friday, June 1st and lasts to Friday, August 28th, 2026. BBB will be flexible on your start and end date if needed.
