About Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Oregon

Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Oregon (PPSO) has been dedicated to providing expert reproductive health care and sexuality education in Southwestern Oregon for over 55 years. PPSO provides more than 30,000 patient visits each year at four health centers and via telehealth. PPSO is also regarded as the region’s most respected provider of medically accurate sexuality education for young people and adults, as well as training programs for professionals who work with youth and families. Education and training programs make over 10,000 contacts each year, transforming the lives of young people in southwestern Oregon. 

PPSO’s essential health services include breast and cervical cancer screenings, well-woman annual exams, birth control, abortion care, LGBTQ+ health, STI prevention, testing and treatment, pregnancy testing, PrEP (Pre-exposure prophylaxis), HPV vaccinations, vasectomies, and more.

Position Summary

The Data Analyst is responsible for building and developing reports and visualizations based on data used to monitor the effectiveness of PPSO’s Compliance Program.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Essential Duties

  • Provide recommendations for standardized use of data visualization tool for department.
  • Build reports and visualizations that help inform decisions made within the Quality and Compliance department.
  • Provide training to department to allow for repeatable creation and development of reports and visualizations.
  • Work with department to create action items based on data visualizations and trends.

Equity and Culture

  • Participate and engage in PPSO DEIB initiatives.

Schedule

  • Approximately 10 hours/week for 3 months.
  • Work is to be performed during the hours of 8:00am – 6:00pm.
  • Weekly 1:1 meetings with Director of Affiliate Quality and Compliance.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Experience with data reports and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a health care setting

Travel & Availability Requirements

  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from primary health center.
