About the Role

Marketing Internship in the Fragrance Division

Step into the world of Fragrance with Takasago. As one of the world’s leading producers of flavors, fragrances, aroma ingredients, and fine chemicals, we’re inviting motivated students to join our Marketing Team and gain meaningful experience.

Takasago is a major global leader and producer of flavors, fragrances, aroma ingredients and fine chemicals. Takasago is headquartered in Japan and operates in 28 countries and regions, with manufacturing facilities, research and development centers, and sales offices worldwide. Internship Overview

The intern will support the Fragrance Marketing team with entry-level tasks which include Olfactive Mapping, Beauty and Fragrance Industry desk research (product launches, category news, social media trends), and assisting the Marketing team with client project or proactive work, as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Desk research and updating/ inputting findings in Excel sheets
  • Supplement presentations in PowerPoint
  • Organize the product library, all drawing upon great organizational, time management, writing and creative skills.

Project Description:

Updating category map PowerPoint file which includes verifying product portfolios (on-line), attending meetings with category Evaluator on classifications, and pulling/ organizing products for smelling.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • An undergraduate or a graduate student with a major in Marketing or related disciplines
  • Adept at PowerPoint and Excel
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills
  • Knowledge and Passion for Marketing and Fragrance. Interest in consumer trends, lifestyle trends, social media, fragrance and fashion a big plus

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the internship, the intern will be able to:

  • Develop practical experience in desk research, data organization, and presentation support using Excel and PowerPoint
  • Build familiarity with current Beauty and Fragrance industry trends through hands-on category research and product analysis
  • Gain experience collaborating across fragrance marketing and evaluation functions
