Intern Analyst (6 month Internship)

Interpath provides critical financial advisory and restructuring services to clients globally and locally. H.I.G. Capital acquired KPMG’s UK Restructuring Business to become Interpath in 2021. Since, Interpath has established itself as an independent, standalone business with expansion into Europe and the Caribbean, broadening our service capability to support our clients at each point in their journey.

Interpath offers a six-month internship opportunity within its Madrid team, designed for students in their final year who are eager to gain valuable experience in financial advisory and restructuring within a dynamic and supportive environment. Interpath is an established global financial advisory firm, providing expert insolvency and restructuring advice across a wide range of sectors.

As an Intern Analyst, you will work closely with experienced professionals, supporting a variety of engagements including financial analysis, report preparation, client interaction, and data gathering. This role provides hands-on exposure to live projects, helping you develop commercial awareness and build the professional skills required for a career in restructuring and advisory.

This internship aligns with common practice in Spain, where final-year students gain practical experience alongside or immediately following their studies. Throughout the six-month programme, you will be supported by a dedicated mentor who will provide guidance, feedback, and ongoing support to help you make the most of the experience.

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and financial analyses.
• Support team members in data gathering and research for ongoing projects.
• Participate in meetings, taking notes, and summarising action items.
• Contribute to client-related tasks under the supervision of senior staff.
• Learn about industry trends and corporate strategies while working alongside advisors.

• Currently in the final year of a degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Demonstrated interest in consultancy and financial services through academic or extracurricular activities.
