About the Role

General Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Intern to join our Claims team. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in Medical Malpractice Claims handling allowing the intern to develop valuable skills and gain insights into the day-to-day operations of an Insurance company.

Dates: June 1, 2026, to August 7, 2026 (10 Weeks)

Location: Onsite in Roslyn, NY

Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day tasks, such as data entry, document preparation, filing, and research related to Insured(s).
  • Connect with various business partners regarding the service of legal documents and medical data.
  • Support projects by collecting and analyzing data, creating presentations, and drafting reports for the Claims department.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to ongoing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with team members to solve problems and achieve project goals.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation.
  • Complete assigned tasks within specified timelines.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Rising senior from an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's degree.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The actual compensation for this position will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by law.
