GGA aligns with the Walmart business to drive growth, lead change, and manage risk in the global policy arena, while protecting and enhancing Walmart’s reputation.What you'll do...
Walmart is seeking a paid summer intern to provide research, logistical, and strategic support to a dynamic team covering Canada, Latin America, Africa, Europe, and Asia, as well as trade, human rights, and sustainable supply chains. We are seeking a summer graduate intern (40 hours per week). The role offers unique exposure to international policy and government affairs within the Fortune 1 company, along with the opportunity to engage with Walmart leaders and influential external stakeholders. Duties may include:- Drafting country-specific strategy documents, memos, and reports
- Assisting with advocacy opportunities and logistics for international forums
- Monitoring political risk and opportunities for Walmart to influence international and U.S. positioning on ongoing developments
- Submitting diverse written reporting to Walmart executives
- Contributing research and feedback on white papers
- Carrying out stakeholder mapping in key issue areas
- Contributing to complex and time-sensitive deliverables and programs
- BA in social science, international relations, or business; master’s candidate preferred
- Relevant globally-oriented work experience in business or international relations for private sector, government, NGOs, trade associations, or similar
- Strong research, analytical, and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively at a fast pace
- Fluency in one or more relevant languages is highly desired
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AI tools

The hourly wage range for this position is $27.00 - $52.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
