Job Description Summary
As a Software Engineering Intern at GE Healthcare for our MIM Commercialized Web Applications team, you will contribute to our web applications sold to customers – MIMcloud and MIM Anyware.MIMcloud is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) web application which enables secure, HIPAA-compliant cloud-based storage and exchange of medical images between clinical facilities.
MIM Anyware is an on-premise web application which virtualizes access to our main desktop medical imaging application (MIM) through a web browser.
Job Description
What You'll Do
Contribute full-stack changes to the codebases of MIMcloud and/or MIM Anyware.
Document code, design specifications, and cybersecurity threat models
Test code and write unit tests
Work closely with experienced software engineers, including a personal mentor
Learn about software engineering principles in an industry environment
Learn about engineering best practices for development of regulated medical software
Work on real features with a real-world impact on customers

What You'll Need
Some experience writing code in coursework, projects, or previous internships
An active pursuit of a bachelor's degree, preferably for computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or physics
General problem-solving skills
Strong analytical thinking
Communication and organization skills
An aptitude for math and science
An existing understanding of medical imaging is not required
