About the Role

Olema Oncology is dedicated to developing better medicines for breast cancer and beyond. Our lead program, palazestrant (OP-1250), is a complete estrogen receptor antagonist (CERAN) currently in development for metastatic breast cancer with blockbuster potential as a monotherapy and in combination in ER+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer. Our follow-on product candidate, OP-3136, is a potent KAT6 inhibitor with best-in-class potential.

About the Role >>>  Legal Intern 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Legal Intern, reporting to the Corporate Counsel, Contracts. As a Legal Intern, you will have the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment and gain hands-on experience in the biotech industry. 

This position is a 10-week paid summer internship $22/hour working 40 hours a week onsite at our Cambridge facility. The internship dates are June 8 through August 14.  

Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Your work will primarily encompass:   

  • Assist in day-to-day corporate tasks, related to securities laws and related compliance, Nasdaq requirements, corporate governance, and record keeping.   
  • Research issues in corporate law, as needed, including related to corporate governance, current SEC regulations, Nasdaq, employment law, and other corporate matters.  
  • Assist in review of external and internal communications, corporate transactions, and other items on an as-needed basis. 
  • Assist in maintaining the contract data base. 
  • Maintain and update a repository of standardized contract terms (clause library) including organizing, refining, and adding approved language for use in agreements. 
  • Conduct review of and assist in drafting of select documents such as Confidential Disclosure Agreements.

Qualifications: 

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited law school with at least one year of law school completed, required 
  • Strong academic background with coursework in relevant legal areas, required 
  • Interest in the biopharmaceutical industry and corporate law, required 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, preferred

The base pay range for this position is $22/hour
